Finally, I have a kitchen I am not embarrassed to show you!!!!
I present to you
Deployment Project # 74
Kitchen Reveal
When we first moved in this house almost 6 years ago I was dead-set on having a maroon kitchen (why?)....
So for 5 years I HAD my maroon kitchen.
But with my ever changing taste of colors and styles, I wanted a lighter look...
SO, I primed it....
..and painted it a light shade of beige...
But something about it didn't sit right with me...
too light?
not "beigey" enough?...
I don't know.
I looked and looked at EVERY shade of beige there is out there....and drove my husband crazy in the process
Eventually, I came across the perfect shade for my kitchen...
Love Love Loooovvveee this shade of beige! I even painted my curtains to match. You can read about how I did it HERE
I also added a fake bead board back splash....You can read about that HERE
One wall contains our wall of fame...a great way to display the children's art work and achievements...
You can read about it HERE
We also added track lighting....
You can read about it HERE
And Heeerrrreee is my new kitchen!
Let's take another look at the dark maroon kitchen
BEFORE
and my new light and airy kitchen....

Happy Monday!

Great job! What a difference!
looks wonderful! great job and *ahem*, I love the name of the paint :0)
i like both colors, both my last kitchen and my current are maroon, though my current had wainscoating and that is a cream color, as are the cabinets, so it is a little broken up :)
Looks great! It's amazing the difference a color can make. Nice job.
