Daddy's Home...for a little while!

After 7 months, my husband FINALLY came home from Iraq...

Unfortunately, it's only for 15 days for his R&R

But we will take whatever time with him we can get!

I kept it a secret from my girls until minutes before he showed up.

I love the look on my oldest's face when I told them we were there to get Daddy!

Here he comes!!!!!!!!

My oldest took off after him....my 4 year old was a little hesitant at first, so we let my oldest get the first hugs...

I love this man...and am so proud of what he does for our country!

We haven't seen him in 7 months, but it only took 7 seconds for it to feel like he never left....

I am in heaven with my family together again....even if it is fr only 15 days.

We are keeping the girls home from school today to get some Daddy time.....and headed to Chuck E Cheese!!!!

Until next time....

How wonderful! The pictures made me tear up -- My husband is Navy and although we haven't dealt with a deployment yet *because of flight school* it will be happening soon enough! Enjoy these 2 weeks!!!

I loved the pics! I just showed them to my little girl. We're expecting my husband home in about a month for his leave, since we had to time it to coincide with baby's due date! We're so excited, so I can't imagine how hard it must have been for you to keep that a secret from your kids. Congrats and enjoy your time together.

This post brought tears to my eyes. Actually the waterworks started on the first photo with the look on your older daughter's face.

I hope you all have a wonderful 15 days together. Thank you so much for all that you do as a military wife and mother. I am so thankful to your husband for the sacrifice of leaving his beautiful family behind so he can fight for the safety and freedom of mine.

I'll be praying for you all.

Those pictures left me in tears. As an Army brat (once one, always one) I remember those times when Dad would come home after being gone for months on end. As a small child, I had to warm up slowly. As an older one, I was just so happy he was home. Please know that I am so grateful to your husband as well as your entire family for your service to our country. I know well the sacrifices you all are making. God bless.

I'm also in tears here. Ugh!! My husband isn't deployable for another 2.5 years (during residency), but seeing pics like this just melt me. Thank you for the sacrifices your family has made and will make for our country.

Enjoy your time together. I'm trying hard to cherish ours, too. :)

Aloha,
charlie

Wow - I have tears in my eyes from looking @ your photos! Thank you for the sacrifice you & your family have made to keep our country safe!

Thanks for your comment about the tile on my fireplace - I did not do it myself. Just picked it out and had the builders do it! But, I do know that most people say that tiling isn't too hard. The tile I used is actually natural slate. You can find it on www.daltile.com. Hope that helps and good luck with your project. Enjoy having your husband home!
