Deployment Project # 66- Silhouettes

Sorry for such a long absence. It's been crazy around here... things continue to go 90 miles an hour around here.

I am still surviving my year long deployment without my hubby, but with just 15 weeks left, I am getting that impatient feeling....ready to have him home. It's been so long since  I have felt that "normal" feeling of having my family all under one roof.  My children miss their daddy....I miss my husband, my best friend.  I cannot tell you how excited I am to get these next 3 months behind me!

I'm digging my heels in and bracing myself for these next 3 months. I can do it! I can do it!

But, back to the deployment project...

I have seen so many of these on line and wanted to make one of my own.

It's amazing how easy it was. The hardest part was trying to figure out how to spell the word "silhouette". ha!

First I took a profile picture of my girls...

Then I printed it out on my computer, traced it onto black paper, cut it out and glued it on to white card stock.

Easy-peasy!

With a pencil, I wrote each girl's name and age....(my oldest was THRILLED to cooperate, can't you tell?!?)

I glued them side by side on an 8x10 piece of white card stock......

....put it in  a cheap frame from Wal-Mart and put the new picture in it.....

...and hung it on my wall....

I love it!

SO easy to do!

I have several other projects to share with you, so I am hoping to take the time to sit down and blog about them. So please check back. I have some fun stuff to show you, including a table I just built ALL BY MYSELF!!!!!

Have a fantastic weekend....

hang in there kiddo - when we were waiting to move into our house while it was being built the days seemed to drag - but now it seems we've always been in (3.5 months later!).

LOVE the silhouette project - and your beautiful curtains!!
