The Doting Wife....

....Can I just brag a moment?????...( of course, I can..it IS my blog after all)...

Ryan just sent me a copy of the "official" email that says he has now been promoted to a MAJOR in the Army!!! For some of you, this means absolutely nothing. But to our family, it means a lot. Being promoted to the next rank is a big deal in the military...it takes a lot of hard work and perseverance to get there. My hard working husband has definitely earned it! He served 14 months in Iraq as the Company Commander of 90 troops, and brought them all home safely without a scratch. Ryan is definitely my hero, and I admire him in so many ways. At work, at home and in the Army he is such a patient and hard working guy who always pays attention to detail and goes out of his way to make sure others are happy and taken care of. I can't say enough wonderful things about this man I call my husband! God has truly blessed me with such a wonderful, talented and Christian man. Here are a few pictures of Ryan (and our family) throughout the last few years....

This is the day Ryan was promoted to Captain, May 2003.

Our very first hug in 14 months! This was the night Ryan came home from Iraq!

I LOVE YOU RYAN!

Welcome to the "field grade" ranks. We are offically the low man on the pole again. But it is a great feeling.

Ok, so I am not sure if I'm overly emotional today but this one almost made me cry. I love you guys and wish you lived closer so we could build more memories together. Tell that man we are all SO proud of him - you KNOW I know what a big deal it is. And tell him the General is proud of his service as well ;)
