Adventurous Weekend...

We had an adventurous weekend!!! We traveled to Greenville, SC (about 3 hrs from home). Ryan had his Army National Guard duty, and The Citadel (Ryan's alum) was playing Clemson Univ. in football, which we had tickets for. So, we started Sat. morning off with a visit to see Ryan for his Army Family Day. Turned out to be a little lame, but Faith did get to see a Magic Show, and Brooke wore her Citadel cheerleading outfit to show everyone who she was supporting for the game later that day. Here are a few pictures from that....

The girls also had a fun Bubble Bath at Uncle Larry and Aunt Lee's house...

Ryan and I had a "date" and went to the Clemson vs. The Citadel game...The Citadel lost, but they honored The Citadel and Clemson alum who are Veterans by bringing them down on the field for the halftime show. Ryan is an Iraqi Freedom Veteran, so he and I got to go down on the field for the halftime show. What a heartwarming moment watching 86,000+ fans applaud MY husband for his service to our country! My heart was so full of pride!!! What a hero Ryan is!!!!! A few pics from the half time show..

Finally we ended the day by picking up the girls from his grandparent's house, where his mom was keeping them for us. We got the chance to see Sweet Papa (the girl's great grandfather). Papa was recently diagnosed with cancer, and is going through chemo treatments right now. He thought we may lose him a few weeks ago, but they started the chemo and he is doing GREAT now! We love Great Papa, and think he one of the most wondreful men we have met!!! here is a pic of the girls with him, and a pic of the girls with their Gammie (Ryan's mom)....

What a fun weekend!!! Can't wait to share NEXT weekend's photos with you....
