Pumpkins and Birthdays....

The girls went to the local produce stand to pick out their pumpkins the other day.....





...and another year has come and gone, and I have to turn a year older. I remember as a kid I would start the countdown to my birthday months before.....

Not so much these days....

Funny, the older you get the less you care about birthdays. But, like it or not, I turned 33 yesterday....ugh! I remember when 33 seemed sooooo old.....and here I am.

My precious husband wanted to do all of these surprises and I begged him to keep it low key....I am thinking that if I don't acknowledge the birthday, then I don't have to turn a year older....not the case...

Ryan came home from work early...and if you know Ryan's work schedule, this was a gift in itself....he and Faith took off, not telling me where they were going. They returned with steaks, potatoes, salad and a birthday cake for me. I had fun grilling out with Ryan and the girls...we pigged out on steaks and cake!!! YUM!!

...so in the end, I was thankful I had my birthday with Ryan and the girls...it was just what I wanted...3 of my favorite people who covered me in hugs and kisses on my special day....
