And The Winner Is........

WOW!!!! I am so excited about all the comments I received this weekend!! I got some really good advice...things I have even started to implement already! Love the ideas about grocery shopping and creating a "staple grocery list" I can create and check off at all times! And someone has a bin for "too big clothes", "too little clothes" and I think that's a great idea since all of the clothes in my house seem to end up together! So many great ideas, and I THANK YOU for helping out in my struggles! ha!

Even more exciting, is knowing that alot of you struggle with being organized too! (I'm glad I am not alone) BUT, hopefully, these helpful comments encouraged you and gave you some really good ideas! I know they have helped me!

Soooo, who's the winner????

KIRSTEN COOK

I even took picutres of my 2 year old drawing out the name (we put the names in her baby stroller and she picked out a name for me)...but as I went to load them up to include on this post, my camera went dead.

Can we say Typical Monday?!?

So, as soon as my camera is brought back to life I will have pictures to prove we drew Kirsten's name!! :)

This little contest was so much fun, and I can't wait to do another one very soon!!! So, keep checking back..or checking your Facebook page for announcements! (For those of you on FB, I have created a group called My Chunky Monkey Designs you can join to get the latest info on contests and deals)

Congrats to Kirsten!!!!

Spring Break in Nashville

Months ago I told Ryan I wanted to go somewhere for Spring Break...

Being a stay at home mom (by the way "stay" at home is a funny term, since I never seem to be able to stay home) I feel like the only trips I take are to Publix and Wal-Mart....so a few months ago I called my best friend, Carolina, and we planned a trip to Nashville to see her. It just so happened that her oldest daughter was also on spring break, so it was a perfect time for us to head that way!

And, boy, I am glad we did! The week went by so fast, and we had such a fun time! Our kids played great together and we got to catch up and relax! We went to a NHL hockey game, sat in a nice suite (thanks, Chris) and the kids were even on the jumbo tron!!!!(see photo)

I also got to have lunch with Kellie and Shannon while I was there! They are some of my best friends from high school I rarely get to see...and it made my day to have 3 of my best friends there at once (we missed you, Kalley)....I LOVE having friends that I can go months and years without seeing, but yet can pick up right where we left off every time we are together!!!! It's amazing to see how we all have grown up, married and now have kids of our own! We've all come a long way!!! :)

We had lots of time on the Wii (where I would like to add, the girls stomped the boys in every game)...and good times with all of Carolina's family! I have always been close to Carolina and her family since I was 10 yrs old. Her parents helped raise me, and I love them as much as my own parents! Carolina's brother is like my brother.... so hanging out with everyone was like a mini family reunion for me!

I can't wait to go back to Nashville....and I would love to move there one day!!!! I hate the week ended so soon!

When I was a little girl I used to love to play with the rolly-pollies I found out in the yard! My girls enjoyed it recently too! It's fun to see yourself in your kids at times like these....

...Not much to this post...other than this is what Brooke wore to help her Daddy mow the grass recently...and no day is complete without a few twirls or two from my ballerina!

A Quick Trip To Knoxville...

On the way to Nashville (our final Spring Break destination), we stopped in Knoxville, TN to have lunch with an old friend of mine, Kalley.

Kalley and I met on the first day of 9th grade in PE class...we've been close every since. We even roomed together our freshman year of college....and definitely had WAAAYY too much fun....my grades definitely showed it!!! (yikes)

Kalley has 2 girls like me, and we enjoy getting them together when we can! I wish it were possible to have my dearest friends living closer to me so I could see them any time I wanted....I have so much fun when I am with Kalley! Some of the best laughs have been had with her! She's such a blast!

Our crazy girls!

Taking The Monkeys To The Zoo...

.....so, it's been a few weeks since I have posted....

Lots of pics, and I don't want to bore you to death....so, I will keep it short...

We recently had Spring Break. Faith was out of school for a week, so we started our vacation by going to the zoo....it was a small zoo, but a zoo nonetheless. The girls had a great time...

...and I was very surprised the zookeeper didn't want to keep them... they can act like animals at times....

So here are a few zoo pics...
