Deployment Project #100!!!!!! I DID IT!!!!!

Deployment Project #100!!
A recap of all 100!!!!!

WOW!!! Am I really at 100?!? Did I really do 100 deployment projects? Is it REALLY time for my hubby to come home from his 14 month long deployment??!?!?
YES!!!!!!!!

WOW!!! This is such an exciting time for our family right now....our normal life as we once knew it, will return in just 2 short days.  I am overwhelmed with emotions right now...excitement, anxiety, anticipation....you name it!  I'm just a ball of nerves. For the last 14 months, I have been a single mother to two little girls, dealing with all the emotions that come with having a husband off at war and trying to "do it all" by myself.

All of that ends in 2 days!!!!!!!

If you remember, at the beginning of this deployment I made THIS post.  And in 2 days I will have some FUN homecoming pics!!! YAY!!

Until then...here is a RECAP of all of my projects over the last year! Enjoy! (Just click on each one to take you to that specific post)

Deployment Project # 99 - Before & After Home Tour!!!!

Deployment Project # 99
Before & After HOME TOUR!

I cannot believe I have made it to project #99!!! When I first started this journey, I set my goal at 100 because I knew it would keep my mind occupied...thinking more about home projects than how much I missed my husband being gone.  Little did I know, I would receive so many emails with words of encouragement and support from all of you blog readers....not only did the projects keep me going, but all of YOU have kept me going. Whether it's been a word of encouragement or support for our family, or just becoming a follower of this blog....I can't thank you enough for appreciating the blood, sweat and tears that has gone into this deployment. It's been a LONG 14 months for our family, and I am so glad this chapter is about to close, and another one will open.

But, the good news is. I am not done with my projects. My mind is already racing with MORE ideas....guess I will have to call them my "post" deployment projects...

So, here we are at my BEFORE & AFTER home tour....the BEFORE pics are all how the house looked when the hubby left for his deployment...and the AFTER pics are all how they look now. Think he will be surprised when he comes home?!?!?!

Deployment Project #98 - Craft Reveal....sort of...

Deployment Project #98
Craft Room Reveal...sort of...

Well, here I am with just a few days left before the hubs comes home from his 14 month long deployment. My nerves are already on edge and the anxiety is about to hit the roof.   For 14 months I have been working diligently on my house trying to get it in order and just the way I want it.  Let's face it, you'll never have your house EXACTLY the way you want it. There will ALWAYS be things you want to add/take away....even though I have worked hard on my house this past year and am pleased with the results, I still don't feel like it's done. BUT, the good news is, now I can start on my POST-deployment projects, right?!?!? :-)

So, here we are on my very last room to show to you.

My craft room.

I am not 100% done in here, but 90% of it is complete. A few tweaks here and there will get it just like I want it...... I hope.

Let's take a look at it BEFORE...

And here are some NOW pics...

Then I made this rug for the room....you can catch up on that post HERE

Photobucket

Then I hung up photos on the wall... I originally was going to do a blog post on how to do this, but I lost my before pics....guess it would be to my advantage to learn how to be organized ((sigh))...

My corner hutch holds supplies...you can read about it HERE

Last week, I put up this peg board. Read about it HERE

The dresser was mine from childhood that I repainted. Read about that HERE

I haven't had a chance to blog about this fun alternative bulletin board. I took an old picture frame. Covered a piece of cardboard in fabric and put it in the frame. Now I can use it as a place to pin up my sewing patterns!!

So, here is my sewing/craft/monogramming room. My kids even have a table in here so they can color/draw alongside me!!!

Deployment Project #97 - Living Room Reveal !!

Deployment Project #97
Living Room Reveal

It dawned on me the other day that I have not yet revealed my  living room to  you. I was putting this one off til last since I had so many things to do in it...

But, without further ado (that's a word right?), here is my living room BEFORE the deployment....(warning: lots of photos)

This is my yellow den....not that there was anything wrong with this wheat color, but this has been my wall color for 11 years....so I was ready for a change!
Photobucket

See my paint samples on the wall??? I didn't want to go with a basic tan...I wanted something a little different...
Photobucket

More GOLD!
Photobucket

And here are my AFTER photos....

Photobucket

My wall color is Filoli Carriage House made by Valspar, and bought at Lowe's! It's a great shade of greenish/gray/tan....depending on the light and time of day. It took me a little while to get used to it, but now I love it!

Photobucket
(photo collage added to the wall with decor on top of entertainment center)

Photobucket

See the July 4th decor on my mantel?!?!? We are ready for the hubs to be home! What a great July 4th this will be!!

Photobucket

It's obvious the BIG green bow on the plant in front of the fireplace does not go with the decor, but that plant was taken from my late grandmother's funeral a few weeks back, and I just haven't taken the ribbon off...so excuse the minty green!! :-)

Photobucket

New pillows bought at TJ Maxx dress up my couch! (and the zebra print pillow was  on clearance for $3!!)

Photobucket

Photobucket

Rug was purchased at Target

Photobucket

Bamboo shades were purchased at Lowe's, and the chocolate curtains came from Target ($8 a piece!) You can read about my window transformation HERE.

Photobucket

A few major changes in this room are my painted bookcase. You can read about it HERE;

Photobucket

I added a new (old) end table. Read HERE

Photobucket

I bought a coffee table on Craigslist for $30 and made a slip cover to go over it. Read about that HERE

Photobucket

One of my favorite projects was the tiling of my fireplace. Read about that HERE.

Photobucket

I refinished this one end table. Read more HERE

So, there you have it, my friends. My new living room. It literally took me all year to redo this den because there were so may things I wanted to change in it.  I can still think of more I want to do...but I think I need to rest now!!! haha!

Have a great day!
