Ryan's 10 Year Reunion from The Citadel

This past weekend was Ryan's 10th Year Reunion from The Citadel. Back in 1998, Ryan graduated from The Citadel, the Military College of South Carolina. This weekend was the big 10 year reunion....(have we been out of college TEN years????..wow)

Here are 2 pictures of us on Ryan's graduation day back in 1998...so cute and so young....

And here we are, 10 years later, and 2 kids.....not so young...but still so cute :)

Here are a few more pics from our weekend...

My Veteran!

Today was Veteran's Day and I got the priviledge of spending the day with my favorite Veteran...MY HUSBAND!!! Ryan spent 14 months in Iraq back in 2004-2005...which makes him a Veteran.

Of course, I am NOT forgetting my dad, father-in-law, or my grandfathers who also served in a war...

I love them too...

But I have been directly affected by Ryan's military service.

I have so much respect for Ryan and those men and women like him. I will never look at Veteran's Day, Memorial Day or Independance Day the same again....not after living the life of a wife with a husband off at war....

I appreciate the military and those who serve/have served in it more than I ever thought I would.

So, Happy Veteran's Day to Ryan....and all of the soldiers out there!

Here are a few of my favorite shots of my soldier!

Brooke's First Mural

Brooke decided the walls needed a new look...so she found a pen and went to town! Just one more advantages of motherhood.... Thank God for those Magic Erasers!!!!!

Haircuts!!!!

Although I LOVE little girls to have long hair, I have just HAD it with Faith and her hair. Every morning it's a fight to get her hair brushed and ready for school. Soooo, I made an appointment and had her hait cut to her shoulders!!! Here she is BEFORE the haircut....

ANd here she is AFTER her new do...

P.S. This morning was a BREEZE getting ready for school.....hair was brushed in record time...so fast that Faith didn't have time to scream and cry about me hurting her!!! YAY!

P.P.S. I had Brooke's ends trimmed too, so here she is on her very first haircut!! (Photography by Faith...hence the blur!)

Trick Or Treat, Smell My Feet....

We are now up to our ears in Halloween candy....it was bad enough when it was just Faith getting candy, but this year Brooke was able to go door to door and trick or treat as well....so we are all in sugar comas around here.....

I think I ate 4 mini-packs of M & M's before 10am this morning.....ugh.........

So, Faith was a mermaid for Halloween....a mermaid that refused to wear a crown and hated the fact that I rolled her hair to look pretty....a mermaid that wore a long sleeve shirt...I am assuming that when it's winter, mermaids get cold too and wear long sleeve shirts, right??

And Miss Brooke was Minnie Mouse....or a version of Minnie in a tutu....either way, she was cute and loved the fact that each house handed out candy.....she's in a sugar coma too....actually bouncing off the walls as I type this....
