Football Saturday...

We spent our Saturday afternoon this weekend at The Citadel vs. Western Carolina football game. Ryan is a graduate of The Citadel, so we love going back there to watch a football game, military parade, baseball game, etc. Being 30 minutes away from the college makes it easy for us to go to any event we choose to go to.....just wish Auburn was this close!

This particular game Saturday was Military Appreciation Day, and they did lots of neat stuff like having jets fly over in formation and sky divers float down on the field...one had the game ball in his hand!!! It was really neat! Both girls enjoyed the game, all dressed up as Citadel cheerleaders (they were even cuter than the actual cheerleaders themselves!) So much fun was had, neith girl made it home awake!!!

Here are a few pictures from our fun Saturday!!!

Teeth and Tantrums....

Do you ever notice that most pics of kids are taken when they are happy and smiling???...they are more fun to photograph when they are happy, after all...but there are lots of temper tantrums in my house too...I emphasize LOTS....and they go unphotographed....so today after church Brooke was not happy...there was nothing in-particular that she was unhappy with...She just decided that she was going to practice being two, so she threw herself on the floor in the kitchen and had a most outstanding temper tantrum....Is there a bigger word than "Terrible" to describe the two's?!?!?!?....

During Brooke's Oscar Winning Performance, Faith was on the other side of the kitchen grinning from ear to ear...an almost toothless grin, I might add...She just lost her 2nd tooth this morning, and was eager to have her picture taken with her new lost tooth in a zip-loc bag. So, I took a picture of Faith with her tooth...and Brooke on the floor....all of this happening at the same time!

So, now you know what any given moment at the Price Household can look like......sometimes they are both happy, sometimes they are both crying, and sometimes they are in complete opposites moods....just like today.......but I wouldn't trade these times for anything in the world....one of these days I will wish I had a two year old to watch kick and scream, and the innocence of a 5 year old who has just lost a tooth and thinks nothing in the world is neater....What a great gift from God these girls are...Teeth, Tantrums and ALL!!!

A Few Random Shots and Ice Cream....

Okay, so I am not sure about blogging etiquette....do you have to have a topic to write about, or does anything and everything go?!?!?! Well, this week has been pretty uneventful (so far, at least, thank goodness)...and I really haven't taken my camera out...which is totally unlike me. But, Ryan has been in Italy all week on business and when you are the only parent in the house dealing with two children, taking pictures is not exactly at the top of your to do list..... Actually, I have been so busy today, that I actually have not even had dinner yet, and it's 9pm......ahhhhh, the joys of motherhood....children first, always!

So here are a few pics I managed to take today.....like I said, nothing eventful....Brooke found a sucker and played with our beloved dog, Tucker.....and Faith said her throat was hurting today, so that gave me the bright idea (or just the excuse) to go our for ice cream to make her throat feel better! Any excuse for ice cream is a great excuse, right?!?!? We met up with Faith's friend Cora and my friend (Cora's mom) Kym. I know I can always count on them to join me for ice cream....they are looking for excuses too! haha

So here are the "exciting" pics of the week.....

Brooke's 2nd Birthday Weekend....

Well, I am officially all partied out. We had Brooke's 2nd Birthday party on Saturday, and while it was a small family party, it wiped me out! I have been dying for a nap ever since Saturday! We had a few family and close friends over for lunch on Saturday. We cooked shish-kabobs on the grill, and served pasta salad, chips and dip and yummy chocolate birthday cake. Of course, Brooke had no earthly-idea what was going on...but we got the picutres and made some birthday memories, so I guess that's all that counts right? We put Brooke's cake in front of her and before we could start singing she blew the candles right out! So, I focused the camera and we lit the candles again...she attempted to blow them out again, but we stopped her. Here is the video of "Happy Birthday to Brooke"...

Here are a few pics from the party....

By the way, here is Brooke the morning of her birthday...just waking up....in her nightgown and high heels (rememeber I told you she's obsessed with shoes)...what a sweetie!

Then we moved on to gifts....and here is a video of her opening one....

After Brooke's fun party Saturday afternoon, we headed to another party held for Faith's friend, Kendall. Kendall tured 6 and had a horseback riding party. My girls absolutely had a blast riding the horse and just hanging out on the farm...here are a few fun pics from there!

Happy 2nd Birthday My Sweet Baby Brooke....

TWO years ago today God blessed our family with the birth of our second daughter. Brooke Katherine was born on September 12, 2006 at 5:09am, weighing in at 7 lbs. 13oz. She was quite the surprise, being 15 days early! Our lives haven't been the same since that day! ....nor have our sleep patterns....

I always laugh and joke about what a handful Miss Brooke is...but she honestly is the "busiest" child I have ever met! She stays on the go, barely slowing down to even take a bite. She has yet to sit down at the table for a full meal...which is why we dread going to restaurants with her...and she has never watched the tv screen for more than 30 seconds. But, with all that said, my baby Brokoe has a sweet side to her too. Any time someone is upset, Brooke is the first to walk up and give you a hug...even if it's a stranger at Wal-Mart (haha)..... She's just so stinkin' cute, it's hard to be mad at her for long....

Miss Brooke definitely knows what she likes....her security blanket (that you see in about 99% of all photos taken), her big "sissy", strawberries, fruit snacks, baby dolls, pennies (yes, pennies), and ANY pair of shoes she sees lying around. ( I have never seen a kid so obsessed with shoes in all my life!)

And of course, she knows what she DOESN'T like...(and enjoys vocalizing it where ever we are)....she doesn't like any food that's not a fruit, a dirty diaper (who does?), being told "no", or new people. She's such a mommy's girl and wants to be held all the time. Ryan and I have nicknamed her "The Treefrog".

We are oh so glad we have Brooke in our family, and know life would only be half the fun if she were not in it. She's given us tons of laughs over the last 2 years with her humorous and loving personality....she's also been the reason I have tons of gray hair....but we love our Brookie, and are so proud of the little girl she has become over her first 2 years here on Earth! We love you our Sweet Baby Brooke! HAPPY 2ND BIRTHDAY OUR PRECIOUS ANGEL!!!!!

Here are a few pictures of our Birthday Girl over the last 2 years...

A Sneak Peek at Brooke..ultrasound @ 20 weeks
