Gone Fishin' !

We have a pond right behind our house, and Ryan likes to take Faith fishing late in the afternoons. After a good rain today, the fish were biting like crazy. Here are some pictures of the girls fishing, and the BEST video of Faith catching a fish!!! Enjoy!

T-Ball Season is Over!!!!

Faith has her final t-ball game this morning, followed by a party to celebrate this afternoon. Watching 4,5 and 6 yr olds play t-ball can be quite comical, but we are all glad it is over! Sitting out in the noon-day heat is draining!!! Here are some pics from our tball day, and a video of Faith's last at bat!!!

June Cleaver

My friend calls Brooke "June Cleaver" all the time because she loves to put on anyone's shoes, loves necklaces, and has these perfect little curls in her hair .....she has turned out to be just a "girly girl"....and she reminds my friend of June Cleaver..... Faith has been at VBS this week, so Brooke and I have been playing in the mornings. Yesterday morning she "dressed" herself as June Cleaver once again, and even posed for a picture...(even though we hadn't brushed her cute little curls, she has that "homeless hair" look).

Just blessed.

Being a mother is more fun than I could have ever imagined! I remember the day I found out I was pregnant with Faith.....my whole life felt like it flashed right before my eyes. Although Faith was planned, I wasn't quite prepared for the shock of actually being pregnant. Throughout my entire pregnancy I felt as if I wouldn't be a good mother, scared that I would fall short of all my motherly responsibilities....5.5yrs later, I am still haunted by the thought of my children growing up and telling me they wish I would have done "this" or done "that" to make their childhood better. So, every morning I wake up with the intention of making sure that my children end their day with positive thoughts and feelings.

But, do you ever have those days where you feel like you just can't get it together?? I had one of those days recently. I just felt like I was doing a lousy job as a mother....Faith was sassing back to me, Brooke cried all day long, the house was a mess, the laundry was piled up waist high, the dog pooped on the floor, etc... you get the picture. Sometimes I feel like giving 100% just isn't enough.

So, in church on Sunday the preacher was speaking about parenting and used this verse, (2Chron. 15:7) "But as for you, be strong, don't give up, for your work will be rewarded."

It's little verses like these that give me the strength to keep on keeping on. Of all the many things the Lord has done for me, one of the greatest gifts He has given me is my children. He picked these 2 precious girls just for me, and has trusted me to raise them. (He has also given me a husband who is a wonderful man and excellent father. I couldn't have asked for better.) My life is good!!! But, there are times when I get down and feel as if I am not worthy of this wonderful family I have. So, when I read this verse on Sunday, it reminded me that I need to be strong, don't give up, for one day I will be rewarded. Even though giving 100% may not feel like enough to me, God sees my work and will reward me one day. What a great feeling to have! I love the way God gives you Bible verses at the right place at the right time in your lives. He can fill my heart with hope, strength, patience and perserverance in one small Bible verse!

Rah! Rah! Rah! Sis! Boom! Bah!

Faith just finished a week at cheerleading camp. The local high school does a fundraiser for their cheerleaders by hosting a week of camp for kids. Faith loved doing it last year, and went again this year. There's nothing cuter, and more comical, than a bunch of 5 year olds cheering! But, Faith feels like she is hanging out with celebrities all week...she came home everyday talking about the cheerleaders and how neat they were. So, here are pictures from her end of the week cheerleading performance, and a short video of her dance they performed. She's the one on the back -right.

Say Cheese!!!!

I took the girls last week to have their summer pictures taken. The photographer suggested I jump in a few too....so I did....and we ended up framing one and giving it to Ryan for Father's Day.... here are a few fun ones I wanted to share..

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day!!!! Faith has been anticipating Father's Day all week. She made her Daddy several cards with beautiful pictures and the words "I love you Dad" on them, and hid them all over the house. We got up at 7am this morning and made breakfast for Ryan and served it to him in bed. Faith was able to give him her cards, as well as one I made for him (see attached photos for the pics that were in the card). The best part of the morning was hearing Faith say, "Daddy, I love you" as they were enjoying their breakfast in bed together! (My heart just melted.) Although Ryan had to leave right after lunch for a business trip, we enjoyed spending HIS day with him, and I think he enjoyed it too! Here are a few pics from our Father's Day weekend!

All Dressed Up

As most of you know, I sew...and sell custom sets for girls. Any time I make something for my girls I like to take pictures of them in it...one, because I like to, and two, because I will resell these on eBay next year and need the pics, and three, because I like to show off these cute little gals!! :) So, before church this morning we had a photo session in Brooke's room. Most of the time I can't get them both smiling at the same time, but they both happened to be in a great mood this morning!! Here are some pics I took of them having fun with the camera!

More Water FUN!

The summer is officially off to a HOT start...and what better way to keep cool than to be at the waterpark! We have a local waterpark we buy passes to each summer. Last summer was hard because Brooke was too little to enjoy it, but she was in her element yesterday! She made it 3.5 hrs before the crankiness set in! We were so busy, and I didn't get to take many pictures. Here's the one I did take before we started splish-splashing around...exceot for Faith who jumped right in as soon as she saw water!

Sprinkler FUN!

Yesterday was our first trip to the sprinklers, and I thought it would be neat to compare pictures of Brooke from last year to this year. Thank goodness she has outgrown her fear of water......now if we can just get her to outgrow the temper tantrums, the pushing and hitting, and the inability to share!!!!!!!!

Here are a few more pics of our day!

So, yesterday was our first trip to the sprinklers....I posted 2 pics to compare Brooke's thoughts about them!

"Quack Quack and Summer Time"

We spent a little Price Family Quality Time last night and took the girls to the neighborhood playground, which happens to be by a pond filled with ducks. There must be 50 ducks in this pond and when they see a bag of bread in your hand they all come "quacking" up to you for a little snack. The girls enjoyed feeding the, and watching the turtles and fish even sneak in a few bites.....well actually, Brooke ate almost every piece of bread we gave her to throw to the ducks, but we have hope she will eventually catch on. I loved this quality time with my girls, because my daddy used to take me to the local duck pond with bread in hand, and we would sit and talk while feeding the ducks. I wonder if my dad enjoyed watching the priceless smile on my face, as I did with my girls last night. Here are a few pics from the ducks and the playground, as well as a few cute cute cute videos of my silly kids!!!!
